With Kiss returning to the road for yet another “Farewell Tour”, “The Hottest Band in the World” is also ready to give their fans another installment in their lengthy comic book legacy.
Writer Ian Edginton, artist Celor, colorist Valentina Pinto, and letterer Troy Peteri debut their latest Dynamite Entertainment series entitled Kiss: Phantom Obsession (not to be confused with The Phantom of the Park) on August 11.
Delivering a story more complicated than the relationships between Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, Edginton’s tale begins when Darius Cho, the richest and most reclusive man in the world, hires Kiss to play his private party. From there, Cho’s obsession with the band gets even more serious and deadly for the boys in Kiss.
Issue one arrives with multiple covers by Stuart Sayger, Celor, Tim Seeley, Jae Lee (pictured below), and a Kiss photo and blank sketch cover.
Kiss: Phantom Obsession is the band’s first series since Dynamite paired them up with Vampirella in 2017.
