‘Iron Man’ Omnibus Vol. 2 Begins Original Series

Don’t let the name fool you; Volume 2 of the reissued Iron Man Omnibus is the start of the solo series that would go on to fully define the man inside and outside of the armor.

Volume 2 collects Tony Stark’s stories from Tales of Suspense #84-99 and Marvel’s first one-shot comics, Iron Man and Sub-Mariner, before moving into Shell-head’s first solo series with Iron Man #1-25.

Written by Stan Lee and Archie Goodwin with art by Gene Colan, George Tuska, Johnny Craig, Frank Giacoia, Dan Adkins, Mike Esposito, and Sam Grainger, the excitement starts with the U.S. Senate investigating the secretive Stark Enterprises at a time when no one knew that Tony was actually his very own personal body guard, Iron Man.

Classic battles against the Mandarin, the Hulk, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, A.I.M., Whiplash and Madame Masque are some of the highlights of the first two years of Iron Man.

The Iron Man Omnibus Vol. 2 consists of 848 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.

The Omnibus is once again available with a cover by Salvador Larroca and one by Colan (comic shop variant version).
