‘Ghostober’ 2022 Promises Hours of Haunted Hallloween Content on Travel Channel and Discovery+

Even though Travel Channel and discovery+ provide thrills and chills all year long, when fall rolls around, the programmers at Discovery shift into overdrive with a loaded Ghostober line-up every Halloween season.

This year’s schedule is no different, and even though the annual Ghostober event (number five if you are keeping score at home) has a number of premieres and returns this October, the festivities actually kick off in September with the first Ghostober Preview Party on Monday, September 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT (on Travel Channel and discovery+). The Preview Party is hosted by Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass, and Marcus Harvey of the Ghost Brothers, Ghost Hunter’s Jason Hawes, and resident psychic Cindy Kaza, and will give viewers a sneak peeks at many of the highlights in the Ghostober schedule.

The frights continue in September with the return of perennial favorite, Ghost Adventures, on Thursday, September 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on discovery+ and the Travel Channel once again (new episodes are no longer exclusive to discovery+). Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley bring another nine one-hour episodes to the airwaves, showcasing all of their years of experience with haunted locations across the globe. The Ghost Adventures crew also premieres a new two-hour special entitled Ghost Adventures: Devil’s Den on September 29 at 9 p.m. which involves an in-depth investigation of the boarded up Los Padrinos Juvenile Detention Center in Downey, California and all of the demonic infestation reported there.

The popular Shock Docs series returns with a new special on one of the most haunted dolls in the world (who goes by the name of Robert) on Shock Doc: Robert the Doll on Friday, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The two-hour documentary will examine the history of Robert and the many curses and misfortunes that have been connected with the doll (who currently resides behind glass in a museum in Key West, Florida). Eli Roth also debuts his latest series, Eli Roth Presents: My Possessed Pet, following Shock Docs on Friday, September 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Roth is back to let you know that not even your pets are safe from supernatural trouble, with four one-hour episodes.

The Ghost Hunters kick off Ghostober proper on Saturday, October 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, as the TAPS team is back with a new eight episode season of paranormal investigations featuring Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, and Shari DeBenedetti, as the revisit some of their most frightening cases and also investigate new hauntings inside mansions, businesses, historic sites and more.

The second Shock Docs special of the season debuts on Friday, October 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with one of the strangest, and most discussed supernatural mysteries in U.S. history: the crash of Flight 401 in the Florida Everglades. The new Shock Doc: Ghosts of Flight 401, profiles the natural and supernatural circumstances surrounding the 50th anniversary of the crash, as paranormal investigator Steve Shippy and Cindy Kaza search for new spectral evidence about the infamous case.

Roth premieres his second new Ghostober series right after the Ghosts of Flight 401 on Friday, October 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and this one is called Urban Legend. The new anthology series (similar to the recent Haunted Museum series) creates dramatic representations of some of the mist famous urban legends involving psychopaths, murderous mysteries, creepy creatures and twisting tales. Urban Legend will run for eight episodes.

And, of course, there has to be something special for Halloween night (at 9 p.m. ET/PT), so Bagans and Roth will debut a new horror film anthology once again based on Bagans’ Haunted Museum (in Las Vegas) called The Haunted Museum: 3 Ring Inferno. The Ghostober two-hour special features the story of a father and son who steal an old suitcase from an antique market and discover a pocket dimension inside that leads to a cursed circus world from the past.

Discovery+ exclusive series and specials include: the ten episode series Haunted Scotland (on Friday, September 23), Jack Osbourne’s Haunted Homecoming (three episodes on Sunday, October 2), and the start of the new eight episode Ghost Brothers: Lights Out season on October 6 (which will begin with three episodes right out of the gate for your streaming pleasure).
