First published as a comic strip in1934, Flash Gordon has seen many iterations and over the character’s long pop culture history.
Marguerite Bennett and Bev Johnson’s new take on Flash Gordon deposits the character directly into the YA graphic novel sci-fi genre, when Dale Arden discovers a shooting star containing a girl by the name of Flash Gordon, who also happens to be the savior of the universe.
