Fantastic Four Contend with ‘The Possession of Franklin Richards’ in New Epic Collection

The Fantastic Four enter the 1980s with all sorts of problems to solve, chief among them the possession of Reed and Sue Richard’s son Franklin.

The Fantastic Four: The Possession of Franklin Richards Epic Collection includes Fantastic Four #215-231 and Fantastic Four Annual #14-16, featuring many by the team of Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz, and the debut of John Byrne on the title (before beginning his memorable and lengthy run in FF #231).

The collection also contains work by Marv Wolfman, Bill Mantlo, Ed Hannigan, George Perez, Peter B. Gillis, Roger Stern, Steve Dikto, Tom Sutton, Keith Pollard, Al Milgrom, Joe Sinnott, Pablo Marcos, Bruce Patterson, Chic Stone, Jon D’Agostino, Mike Esposito, and Frank Giacoia.

Highlights include the aforementioned possession of Franklin Richards, whose reality-bending powers go haywire, battles with Blastaar, the Futurist, the Frightful Four, Captain Barracuda, the Salem Seven, Korgon, the Samurai Destroyer, the Mole Man, and an army of Skrulls, and guest appearances by the Avengers, Spider-Man, Dazzler, Thor, Captain Mar-Vell, and H.E.R.B.I.E (who also blows a fuse like Franklin, although the title “By Herbie Betrayed” couldn’t bump Franklin from the headline).

The Fantastic Four: The Possession of Franklin Richards Epic Collection consists of 472 pages for a suggested retail price of $54.99.
