New Edition of ‘Fantastic Four’ Omnibus Vol. 1 Creates Foundation for Marvel Universe

The original Fantastic Four Omnibus returns to showcase the first three years of Marvel’s First Family, forever establishing the foundation of the entire Marvel Universe.

The Omnibus collects Fantastic Four #1-30 and Fantastic Four Annual #1 (originally published from 1961 to 1964) by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Dick Ayers, Chic Stone, George Klein, Sol Brodsky, Joe Sinnott, and Steve Ditko.

Stan and Jack’s revolutionary comic made stars of Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Sue and Johnny Storm, and introduced the Marvel Universe to the Mole Man, Skrulls, the Puppet Master, the Impossible Man, the Mad Thinker, the Super Skrull, Rama-Tut, the Molecule Man, the Watcher, Diablo, and their greatest villain: Victor Von Doom.

The collection also contains a number of appearances by Golden Age transplant the Sub-Mariner and the first of many battles between the Incredible Hulk and the ever-loving-blue-eyed Thing.

The Omnibus also includes all the original letters pages and pinups, critical commentaries, a historical overview, and more.

The Fantastic Four Omnibus Vol. 1 was originally released in 2005, with subsequent reprints in 2007, 2013, and 2018.

Marvel released a new version of the original Fantastic Four Epic Collection (previously released in 2014 and 2021 and containing the first eighteen issues FF issues) in October 2024. If you like traditional comics, you can also pick up facsimile editions of the first twelve issues of the Fantastic Four this year (the sixth issue was recently released) at your local comic shop.

The Omnibus consists of 928 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.00.

The main cover is provided by Alex Ross and the comic shop variant is the classic Kirby original.
