The new year begins with the end of the X-Men’s Krakoan Era in Gerry Duggan and Lucas Werneck’s Fall of the House of X mini-series.
Fall of House of X #1 begins on January 3 with Cyclops on trial and facing a death penalty and all of their enemies assembling to take down the once mighty hero and the mutant island nation.
A more optimistically titled series begins on January 10 by Kieron Gillen and R.B. Silva called Rise of the Powers of X, as Orchis, Nimrod, and Omega Sentinel enact their plans to rid the universe of all mutant life.
Each of the five-issue limited series will be supported by all of the ongoing mutant titles, as well as three crossover mini-series also starting in January including Cable by Fabian Nicieza and Scot Eaton, Dead X-Men by Steve Foxem Peter Nguyen, Bernard Chang, and Guillermo Sanna, and Resurrection of Magneto by Al Ewing and Luciano Vecchio.
