Factory Entertainment Announces Consolation-Con Virtual SDCC Booth Experience

Factory Entertainment isn’t going to let COVID-19 get in the way of delivering a virtual San Diego Comic-Con experience to collectors worldwide. The company announced Consolation-Con, a virtual replacement for their usual in-person booth at SDCC.

In a press release, Factory Entertainment describes Consolation-Con as a, “tongue-in-cheek name for a series of six streaming video presentations” which will run between July 6th and July 17th. The videos will offer sneak previews of new products, announce new licensing agreements, and offer giveaways for fans. The presentations will also launch convention exclusive products which will be offered for sale during the event. The exclusive products will include licenses such as Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Star Trek, Jaws and Monty Python.

Jordan Schwartz, the President and CEO of Factory Entertainment, had this to say about Consolation-Con:

“There’s no substitute for interacting face-to-face with the many fans who share our passion and love our products and with the attendees who may be encountering us at the show for the first time. Due to the cancellation of San Diego Comic-Con, we can’t do so this July, but that doesn’t mean we can’t connect with our customers and try to capture some of the spirit of Comic-Con by inviting everyone into our virtual booth.”

Consolation-Con will premiere at 11:00 AM, PDT on July 6th, and future experiences are scheduled to follow every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at FactoryEnt.com and @FactoryEnt on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
