Set some 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides, the trailer for Max’s upcoming Dune: Prophecy series looks to tell the history of how the Bene Gesserit sisterhood first became the power behind the throne in the Dune universe.
Based on Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s Sisterhood of Dune novel, the new HBO series (currently scheduled to be released some time this fall) will consist of six episodes and follows two Harkonnen sisters as they shape the Bene Gesserit into a formidable force in the galaxy.
Prophecy stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.
Both Brian Herbert (along with Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert as executive producers for the Frank Herbert estate) and Kevin J. Anderson serves as two of the co-producers on Dune: Prophecy.
