Disney’s upcoming animated film Raya and The Last Dragon has shared the first official image via Entertainment Weekly.
The first image features the hero Raya standing next to her noble steed Tuk Tuk (described as a mix between a fuzzy bear, an insect. and an armadillo).
Raya will be voiced by Kelly Marie Tran, who replaced original voice actor Cassie Steele. Awkwafina also stars as Sisu, a dragon in human form, who acts as Raya’s supernatural aid. Raya was directed by Carlos López Estrada and Don Hall. Raya and The Last Dragon takes place in the mystical land of Kumandra and involves a quest for the last dragon.
Raya and The Last Dragon was originally scheduled to be released on November 25, 2020, but now the film is tentatively set for a March 12, 2021 release date.
