After a long hiatus, Disney Movie Club will return to their series of club-exclusive Blu-Ray releases with brand new home video editions of The Black Cauldron and Valiant. The discs will make their way into collectors’ hands during the club’s 20th anniversary celebration.
The Black Cauldron was available on VHS in 1988 and it received two subsequent DVD releases. The film has never been available in high definition on Blu-Ray. Valiant was produced by Vanguard Animation, Ealing Studios and Odyssey Entertainment and it was distributed in theaters in the United States by Walt Disney Pictures. This new release will mark the first time the film has been available on Blu-Ray since 2007.
Disney Movie Club consistently released fan-favorite films such as The Three Caballeros, Return to Oz, and Freaky Friday in the form of exclusive Blu-Rays available only to club members. No new releases have been available since late 2019, leading collectors to think the program might have ended.
Club members can order The Black Cauldron and Valiant now. Stay tuned to Conskipper for complete coverage of pop culture Blu-Ray releases as soon as it breaks!
