Everyone is getting in on the streaming game these days, and to borrow a phrase from Homer Simpson’s assessment on how to win on Storage Battles: “In the streaming game, content is king”. So if you happen to be a fan of paranormal reality TV (or storage locker battles like Homer) Discovery’s new streaming service is bound to give you all the “screaming”, I mean streaming, that you can handle!
Discovery+ launches on January 4 with their Paranormal & Unexplained genre hub, a massive library of over 100 series including Travel Channel favorites such as Ghost Adventures, The Dead Files, Paranormal Caught on Camera, Destination Fear, Ghost Nation, Portals to Hell (and A&E’s Ghost Hunters and Ancient Aliens) as well as a number of exclusive specials and programs that will premiere on the streaming channel.
Two highly anticipated specials will air right out of the gate: the two hour Ghost Adventures: Cecil Hotel investigation and the second episode of Shock Docs: Amityville Horror House, and brand new series, Ghost Adventures: Top 10, will premiere with eight one-hour episodes as well on January 4.
More new content will be added on January 14, with the premiere of the new UFO series, UFO Witness, and the third Shock Docs episode, Shock Docs: The Exorcism of Roland Doe.
Other upcoming series/projects include: Jack Osbourne’s Fright Club, a multi-project deal with director Eli Roth, and a supersized Ghostober slate of programming.
