The monthly stories take a back seat to a temporary anthology format for Detective Comics milestone issue, featuring all-star creative teams paying tribute to Batman and company.
The stories includes Tom Taylor and Mikel Janin’s heartfelt tale of Batman rescuing a young boy’s best friend, Greg Rucka and Alvaro Martinez Bueno’s controversial question regarding if Gotham was better off before Batman?, Mariko Tamaki and Amancay Nahuelpan’s exploration of how Bruce Wayne copes with his secret identity, and Dan Watters and Bill Sienkiewicz’s examination of Batman’s motivations and how close he gets to crossing the line.
The over-sized comic will be available at your local comic shop on August 20, for a suggested retail price of $5.99.
