The Deadpool: Agent X Epic Collection wraps up his initial solo series and introduces the world to the enigmatic Agent X.
Deadpool: Agent X collects Deadpool #65-69 and Agent X #1-15 by Gail Simone, Buddy Scalera, Evan Dorkin, Daniel Way, Alvin Lee, Mitch Breitweiser, Juan Bobillo, Kyle Hotz, Mark McKenna, and Marcelo Sosa.
After Deadpool’s troubling encounter with Black Swan, which leaves Wade Wilson with a psychic virus that renders him feeble-minded, Agent X takes over in a brand new series with new friends Sandi Brandenberg, Ratbag, Outlaw and Taskmaster.
The eerily similar Agent X minds the ranch while Deadpool recovers, before the original’s eventual return in the three-part “Deadpool Walkin'” storyline, culminating in Agent X #15, and effectively putting an end to the exploits of Agent X at the end of 2003.
Deadpool would return to his own solo series again in 2008.
