Danny DeVito Writes Penguin Story for November’s ‘Gotham Villains Anniversary Giant’ #1

Danny DeVito returns to the Penguin in November, as the writer of the character that he portrayed in 1992’s Tim Burton Batman sequel, Batman Returns.

DeVito’s story (drawn by Dan Mora) will appear in the upcoming anthology, Gotham Villains Anniversary Giant #1, which will also contain material from writers Joshua Williamson, G. Willow Wilson, and Phillip Kennedy Johnson, and artists Jill Thompson, Christian Ward, Emma Rios, and more.

It also appears that DeVito’s story will include Catwoman, a villain that also appeared in Burton’ extra-dark film.

Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant #1 celebrates the anniversaries of many of Batman’s rogue’s gallery, including 80 years of The Penguin and The Scarecrow, 70 years of Killer Moth, and 50 years of Ra’s al Ghul.

Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant #1 arrives on November 30.
