Dan Brereton launched a Kickstarter campaign this morning for a hardcover art book and signed art portfolio featuring some of his most popular characters and most memorable works. The campaign offers fans a deluxe edition of the Children of Night art book, the Octoberlands art portfolio, and a variety of options to add on sketches, remarques, and even original watercolor paintings.
The Children of Night art book will feature 136 pages of, “majestic monster gals, noble brutes and pulpish heroes.” The characters will span the entirety of Brereton’s work, including everything from classic monsters to his iconic Nocturnals creations. The Octoberlands art portfolio is described as, “a fiendish folio of fetching femmes,” which will celebrate the fall season and the works of Brereton’s previous art books. It will start off with seven 11×14 plates, but there is a stretch goal in place to add an eighth piece.
This project is Breton’s seventh Kickstarter campaign, and the artist pulled out all of the stops with unique offerings for fans to back the project. Options range from PDFs, to signed copies, to pieces containing original art. “The Curator” reward allows the backer to choose a hand-drawn sketch inside their copy of Children of Night, a hand-drawn remarque on their Octoberlands portfolio, and an original 8×10 watercolor.
Fans can back Brereton’s Kickstarter campaign from now until August 27th, 2020. Stay tuned to Conskipper for complete coverage of this exciting new project as soon as it breaks!
