‘Counter Earth Must Die’ in New Fantastic Four Epic Collection

The latest Fantastic Four Epic Collection contains some of the best Marvel stories from the late 1970s by Roy Thomas, Len Wein, John and Sal Buscema, and George Pérez, guaranteed to make you want to step onto Doctor Doom’s time platform for a trip to the past.

The Fantastic Four: Counter Earth Must Die Epic Collection contains stories from 1976 to 1978 in Fantastic Four #168-191, Fantastic Four Annual #11, Marvel Two-in-One #20, Marvel Two-in-One Annual #1, and FF story from Marvel Treasury Edition #11.

Highlights in the Epic Collection include a brief cure for The Thing and a brief stint in the Four for fill-in Luke Cage, another classic Hulk vs. the Thing slugfest, a battle between Galactus and the High Evolutionary, an evil Counter-Earth Reed Richards, and appearance by Thundra, Tigra, the Mad Thinker, Annihilus, The Frightful Four (with new member the Brute), the rarely seen Eliminator, Salem’s Seven and Agatha Harkness, Klaw, and the Molecule Man

There is also a three part time travel crossover involving the Thing, the FF, and the Liberty Legion across Ben Grimm’s Marvel Team-Up and the two annuals in the collection.

Counter-Earth Must Dies also contains work by Bill Mantlo, Gerry Conway, Jim Shooter, Archie Goodwin, Marv Wolfman, Rich Buckler, Ron Wilson, Joe Sinnott, Sam Grainger, John Tartaglione, George Roussos, Dave Hunt, and Tony DeZuniga.

The Epic Collection consists of 512 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
