Christopher Priest’s entire Deadpool run is the main event in the Merc with the Mouth’s Johnny Handsome Epic Collection.
The stories, from 1999 and 2000, collect Deadpool #34-45, a crossover with T’Challa in Black Panther #23, a battle between Deadpool and Logan in Wolverine #154-155, and rarities like Heroes Reborn: Remnants, Fight Man #1, and Deadpool’s appearance in Wolverine Annual #1999.
Along with Priest, the Epic Collection contains work by Rob Liefeld, Eric Stephenson, Joe Kelly, Evan Dorkin, Marc Andreyko, Gus Vasquez, Paco Diaz, Chris DiBari, Rodney Ramos, Jon Holdredge, Andy Smith, Rich Perrota, Jim Calafiore, Mark McKenna , Rich Perrotta, John Czop, Scott Elmer, Sal Velluto, Bob Almond, Norm Rapmund, Ethan Van Sciver, Pam Eklund, Walter McDaniel, Walden Wong, and Scott Koblish.
The title story is a reference to a marked improvement in Wade Wilson’s looks, courtesy of Norse god of mischief Loki. Other highlights include the mega-box office confrontation between Daedpool and Logan, new roommates Constrictor and Titania, a new job as a super-villain trainer as provided by the Taskmaster, and plenty of Heroes Reborn nonsense.
The Deadpool: Johnny Handsome Epic Collection consists of 488 pages for a suggested cover price of $44.99.
