‘Amazing Spider-Man: Great Power’ Epic Collection Details Spidey’s Original Stories

The third edition of the earliest adventures of Spider-Man returns to stores right on time for Spidey’s 60th anniversary.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Great Power Epic Collection contains his 1962 debut in Amazing Fantasy #15 and the first issues of his own title, The Amazing Spider-Man #1-17 and Annual #1.

Stan Lee and Steve Ditko (along with Jack Kirby’s art in Amazing Fantasy #15) create the foundations for one of the greatest characters created in the 20th Century over the course of their run on the title, starting with his tragic origins and dedication to heroism, a memorable supporting cast including Aunt May, J. Jonah Jameson, Flash Thompson, and some of the best villains in the history of comicdom such as the Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, the Sandman, the Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, the Lizard, Mysterio, and Electro!

The Amazing Spider-Man: Great Power Epic Collection was originally released in 2014, and even more recently in 2020. With all of the hoopla surrounding Spidey’s 60th anniversary, it is no surprise that Marvel is attempting to get the first Spider-Man stories into the hands of the most readers as possible, and in the most formats possible.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Great Power Epic Collection contains 504 pages, with a retail price of $44.99. Look for the new edition in stores on July 6.
