Shang-Chi, known to his friends (and enemies) as The Master of Kung-Fu , has been on a hot streak as late with a new mini-series by Gene Luen Yang, Dike Ruan, and Philip Tan, a upcoming MCU debut in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and a special one-shot comic book hitting stores this January.
The Legend of Shang-Chi comic is written by Writer Alyssa Wong with art by Andie Tong and will see Shang-Chi and Leiko Wu team-up to locate a sword that claims people’s souls. However, it seems like someone else wants the weapon, namely long-time Wolverine foe, Lady Deathstrike.
Wong is naturally “…stoked to write Shang-Chi!” and went on to say that “I think Shang-Chi’s super interesting: he’s a guy who goes toe-to-toe with superpowered metahumans every day, and his special ability is that he’s really, really good at martial arts. That’s it. But that’s all he needs; he’s fast, acrobatic, and literally the best at what he does.”
Legend of Shang-Chi #1 will be available in finer comic shops everywhere in January of 2021.
