This news follows reports that Jamie Foxx will come back to the series as Electro, who appeared in Amazing Spider-Man 2 when Andrew Garfield played the wall crawler .
Tom Holland will once again star as Spider-Man, set to premiere on Dec. 17, 2021 and will bring back director Jon Watts, who also directed Spider-Man Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home.
The movie will also feature Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Mary Jane (Zendaya), and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei).
Besides portraying Doc Ock, Molina is well known for his roles in Frida and Magnolia. He is also an accomplished theater actor with two Tony Award nominations for his work in Art (1998) and Fiddler on the Roof (2004).
