Rebellion/2000 AD is bringing back Alan Moore and Ian Gibson’s science fiction comic classic, The Ballad of Halo Jones, in a full color hardcover omnibus edition for the first time in January 2023.
The 2000 AD staple, and one of the most discussed series of the 1980s, returns with restored artwork, Barbara Nosenzo’s previously re-colored pages, and a number of bonus features.
Nosenzo’s recolored pages initially debuted when they were published as three separate (currently out-of-print) volumes in 2018, bringing Halo Jones to a whole new audience.
The original The Ballad of Halo Jones strip was first published in weekly instalments between 1984 and 1986, and was unfortunately never completed by Moore and Gibson. It has been collected in various edition over the past thirty five years, and was released as reprints in standard comic book form by Quality Comics in 1988.
