Journey back to the 1970s once again in the reissued Superman in the Seventies trade paperback collection.
Superman in the Seventies includes Superman #233, 238, 247-249, 270-271, 276, 286-287, 298, and 300, Action Comics #436, 466, 484, 491, and 494, DC Comics Presents #14, Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #133, and Superman’s Girlfriend #106.
All stories are written by Denny O’Neil, Len Wein, Cary Bates, Elliot S. Maggin, Paul Levitz, and Robert Kanigher, with art by Curt Swan, Murphy Anderson, Dick Dillin, Jack Kirby, Werner Roth, Bob Oksner, Vince Colletta, Tex Blaisdell, Joe Giella, Frank Chiaramonte, Dick Giordano, and Al Plastino.
The thirteen stories in the collection serve as a sample of the types of storytelling from the decade involving the Man of Steel, which sees Clark Kent leave the Daily Planet for a job as a TV newsman and even dine on Kryptonite.
The same collection was also published in 2000 and 2010. The new edition still contains the introduction by ’70s cinematic Superman, Christopher Reeves.
The trade paperback consists of 224 pages for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
