The five issue mini-series spins directly out of Kelly Thompson’s “The Last of the Marvels” Captain Marvel storyline and sees the genetically-engineered son of Marvel’s original Kree hero reunite with his former partner, Rick Jones.
The new series reunites Wolverine, the Hulk, Ghost Rider, and Spider-Man shortly after the events of the original team-up, as they descend on Las Vegas and re-team with the First Family to take on all sorts of villains and superhero problems.
Larry Hama and Marc Silvestri’s initial Wolverine run (which began in 1990) will be collected in the latest Wolverine Epic Collection entitled Wolverine: Blood and Claws this July.
The new story arc (like the rest of the ones in the flashback anthology series) will take place in-continuity, with issue #5 sandwiched between X-Factor #75 and #76 from 1992.
David’s second most prolific stint of this era was on Marvel’s X-Factor, where he delivered humor, excitement, and pathos every month, essentially elevating former C-List characters like The Multiple Man, Polaris, and Strong Guy to A-List status.
