DC FanDome generated a lot of buzz and over the past few months (just take a look at Conskipper’s recent news archive!) leading up to the event, and according to Warner Bros., the online convention also garnered 22 million views across 220 countries.
Milestone was revolutionary at the time for creating an entire comic universe (the so-called Dakotaverse) comprised of a very diverse roster of heroes and villains. The original publishing venture lasted until 1996. Milestone Media was also responsible for the WB’s animated hit series Static Shock, which ran from 2000 through 2004.
And while everyone was focused on Miller’s shiny new duds in the concept art that Muschietti displayed, many fans missed Michael Keaton’s Batman squaring up to assist the Flash against some gun-totting villains.
Aquaman 2 is still at least two years away, but that didn’t stop director James Wan from confirming at DC FanDome that the 2022 sequel will be less lighthearted than the original.
This Batman is clearly a less confident, more rough-and-tumble version of the character, entering his second year on the job as the Dark Knight.
Rocksteady, the studio behind the Batman: Arkham series of video games, released an official trailer for the game which will mark their return to the DC Universe at DC FanDome.
