It seems like Marvel fans can’t get enough of Annihilation, as the space war saga gets collected once again in 2022, the third time the Omnibus has been offered to the public so far as a collected edition.
The stories capture the essence of the pre- and post- “Comics Crash” era, with some “interesting” new looks for the Doctor.
Although the Marvel UK comics were geared towards readers in the United Kingdom, many comic shops in the US did carry them, and Knights of Pendragon had one of the longest and most memorable runs of any of the titles.
We were able to talk to the writer about his approach to Burroughs’ characters and his recent work with two other iconic characters, Red Sonja and Vampirella, as well as his long history with 2000AD and a particular band of space heroes that you may have heard of before.
The anniversary issue will feature three new stories, including one by the original creators of Darkhawk, writer Danny Fingeroth and artist Mike Manley.
