Marvel finally gets around to collecting the adventures of Captain Mar-Vell in a brand new omnibus.
It’s a good day for Bronze Age fans when the Day of the Defenders arrives!
Conan the Barbarian: Vengeance in Asgalun collects issues #72-88 of Marvel’s original adaptation of the dark-maned Cimmerian from 1976-1977, and sees Conan team with Bêlit, the Queen of the Black Coast, to reclaim her throne.
The majority of the tales in the collection are handled by Roy Thomas and Geof Isherwood, and encompass the lead up to the Infinity War issues with the three part “Great Fear” storyline and all of the Infinity War issues.
The stories begin with Thomas’ retelling of the Four’s origins and another tangle with their first adversary: The Mole Man (with some assistance from Kala, Queen of the Netherworld).
IDW and Marvel continue to offer fans a look at the original art and process of some of the legends of the industry with Gil Kane’s The Amazing Spider-Man Artisan Edition
