Hopefully, the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong feature will remember that ticket buyers do not care about half-baked family strife or images of the human race rallying to fight alongside the monsters. Making a Godzilla movie should not be this difficult.
Most of these adventures also imagine “Big Red” in Mexico during the heyday of wrestlers vs monsters on screen, so why not share a lost tale from this bygone era and thrown in Lobster Johnson to boot!
The new What We Do in the Shadows series faithfully resurrects the spirit of their beloved film and it introduces the audience to a plethora of hilarious new characters and clever flourishes on the mockumentary format.
Us is a movie that relies much more heavily on allegory than story, and the story suffers as a result… even in spite of phenomenal performances by a stellar ensemble cast.
Friday the 13th fans will never run out of ways to proudly display this little masterpiece. It’s a fine addition to the One:12 Collective line, and a must-have figure for any serious Jason collector.
